In this episode of Necessary Blackness Podcast, Rahiem Shabazz explores the relationship between chattel slavery and America’s oldest and elite colleges. We discuss the ownership of slaves by university leaders, slave auctions being held on campus and how slavery was part of the curriculum at many colleges. All of this was done to reinforce their racist notion of whites being superior and black inferior.
